Frequently asked questions
How does the first day account for jet lag?
We schedule no working session on arrival day. A host meets every flight, the Hilton Madrid Airport is about 5 minutes from the airport, the afternoon stays light and dinner is simple and early. The plenary takes place the next morning, once everyone has had a first night's sleep.
Why five days after a long flight?
After ten to twenty hours of travel, a two-day seminar would be largely eaten up by fatigue. Five days allow an arrival day, two productive working days in Madrid, then a move to Seville that turns the trip into an experience, with a short final morning so that everyone leaves calmly.
How do arrivals from several continents work?
Each participant sends us their flight details and we group transfers by arrival time. Aena publishes the list of destinations served from Madrid-Barajas, which includes New York, Toronto, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Tokyo-Narita, among others. For other Asian cities, such as in Thailand or Vietnam, a connection should be expected. Please check schedules with the airlines, as they change with the seasons.
How does luggage travel between Madrid and Seville?
Our team collects the luggage at the Madrid hotel, accompanies it to the station and delivers it to the Seville hotel. We suggest each person keeps a cabin bag for the train day, which makes the station easier. The AVE journey takes around 2 hours 30 minutes depending on the train.
Is a visa needed to travel to Spain?
It depends on nationality and length of stay. We cannot give a rule country by country: please consult the official website of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union's official portal on visas and travel authorisations. We will send you the dates, hotels and programme as early as possible to help your teams with their applications.
Is the visit to the Real Alcázar guaranteed?
The visit outside opening hours is arranged by written request to the Patronato del Real Alcázar, about a month before the date, for a group of up to 150 people and one hour at most. We handle the request and confirm the slot to you as soon as it is validated.
